We stock all the favourites for your feeding pleasure and the birds feeding enjoyment.

Black Oil Sunflower, Striped Sunflower, Safflower, Nyjer, Shelled and In The Shell Peanuts,and Millet are just a few of the offerings we have. All can be purchased in quantities from just a few pounds, up to 50lbs! Mixes are also available in various price ranges with our own 'Country Blend', concentrated with black oil, our most popular. Suet, seed wreaths, corncobs, whole and cut corn, oriole, hummingbird and butterfly nectar are just a few of the other feed needs that we supply.

Feeders, Houses, Nesting Boxes

You will find one of the most extensive selections of wild bird feeders in the area, including squirrel resistant models that include “Squirrel Buster” (see video) and the popular “Droll Yankees” feeders. Only a few are featured below.

For finches, there are numerous sizes, models and quality of feeders. From styles that hold about 1 lb., to ones that hold much more, there are lots of choices. Some have plastic perches, others metal caps and perches. Upside down feeders allow the goldfinches to feed without the bother of house finches and others. Totally metal feeders with no perches or nyjer seed bags are designed in a way that the finches 'cling' rather than perch. Designed with metal tops and bases, Droll Yankees feeders also feature warranties on their polycarbonate tubes.

Tube feeders for sunflower or mixes, are also available in many designs and with many different features. Some have attached trays to collect seeds, while others can be pole mounted. Many are dishwasher safe and totally come apart for ease of cleaning. Others offer protection from squirrels or feature warranties that offer replacement parts.

Many hopper feeders feature metal bases for excellent drainage and seed aeration, while others have attached suet baskets. Constructed in metal, these models also have squirrel and large bird deterrents.

Be they functional or only for decorative purposes, you'll discover that Hyde Park Feed & Country Store offers an excellent selection of birdhouses and nesting boxes in pine, antiqued barn board, etc.

Accessories, Baths, Poles, Baffles, Hooks & More

If you're looking to attract birds to your yard, an important way to accomplish this is with a water feature as well as suitable trees, shrubs and bushes that provide a place for the birds to perch while offering protection from harsh weather or predators. To satisfy their water requirements, several birdbaths are in stock including heated and cement or a glass option that attaches to our pole systems. If you can't get a pole in the ground to hang your feeders, try a railing bracket with hook or a branch hook to hang the feeder in a tree. For squirrel problems, baffles are available. Hyde Park Feed & Country Store stocks field guides from the most respected authors including Peterson, Kaufman and Stokes. You'll discover wild bird guides and information books geared to children, young adults, beginners or the most experienced birders. Other nature titles include guides to insects, trees, butterflies and moths. There are lots more to choose from!

Onsite Woodworking Shop

Sometimes a feeder needs a little modification or a pole requires adjustments. We at Hyde Park Feed & Country Store have our own woodworking shop where these small fixes can sometimes be done while you wait. If more work is required, it will be done as quickly as we can get the necessary accessories and parts. We are only too pleased to assist you - we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchases!
